Hey lovelies,

Just wondering if anyone else suffers with thigh/inner leg pain whilst on their period šŸ¤”

I have ibs and also been told I have ovarian varices. My periods are heavy, painful and quite often last for up to 14 days šŸ˜’ it's quite tiring and very draining šŸ˜• anyone got any hints/tips or advice? I'll be eternally grateful for any feedback and help you lovely ladies can provide šŸ˜˜

Yes I get inner thigh aches too, mainly on my left inner thigh. I usually feel nauseous with pain on my lower tummy. It really sucks, however inbetween periods lately things arenā€™t too bad.

Hot water bottle and green tea x

Have you been diagnosed with endo? I have IBS symptoms and itā€™s not actually IBS but bowel endo. The lap I had to remove the endo helped my symptoms. If youā€™ve not had diagnosis or surgery yet please look into going with a specialist, many gynaes donā€™t have a clue about endo. If itā€™s on your bowel which maybe it is if you are having IBS symptoms you will need a bowel surgeon present during your op. My GP was useless and wouldnā€™t put me under endo specialist so I paid Ā£150 to go private and the specialist put me back in NHS so I didnā€™t pay for anything but initial fee. Good luck šŸ¤ž xx

Hi, thanks for replying.I was diagnosed with ibs about 10yr ago however, I'm convinced it was a last resort call as I had loads of investigations done. Just seems to be getting worse over time. Despite seeing the same quack for over a year now there is no mention of gynae or adequate treatment, I can't even get decent painkillers because of the constipation issue they may cause... Sucks to be female eh!!!

Take care lass xxx

A lot of gynaes are rubbish at diagnosing endo. Iā€™ve been told by the specialist where mine is located itā€™s often missed in a lap as mine isnā€™t really on uterus/ovaries etc. My endo actually came out of me šŸ˜¬ where my episiotomy scar is and I didnā€™t have a clue what it was, I went to a sexual health doctor and she said sheā€™d never seen anything like it in her life. I had biopsy and yeah it was endošŸ˜® I had never heard of endo before this. I put off having a lap for a few years but the pain and bowel trouble was unbearable so had to have lap which wasnā€™t as bad as I thought. I recovered after lap in bowel ward and about 4 different nurses asked why I was there and when I told them endometriosis removal they told me they had never heard of it šŸ™„ If medical staff have never heard of endo, what hope do we have? I avoid opioids as thatā€™s where my endo was situated and I eat ridiculously healthy as having constipation terrifies me šŸ˜ rubbish to be female I agree šŸ¤£ push your consultant to give you an MRI a few ladies have had success on seeing endo but transvaginal scan was useless at picking it up xx

I experience pain radiating from my back, bum and down my legs mainly my thighs but itā€™s every single day, itā€™s painful to walk and canā€™t really be on my feet any longer than 20 mins at a time before I need to have a break and sit down! I find the only way to get any sense of relief is a hot water bottle or a really hot bath. Iā€™ll be honest it doesnā€™t stop the pain but it eases it slightly x

I get pain down my legs (mostly my left) and lower back. Really hard to sleep. In bed if I am lay on my back I put a pillow or cushion under my knees. And if Iā€™m lay on my side I put one between my thighs. It has been proven that it helps lower back and leg pain because it aligns your spine and pelvis and takes the pressure off your lower back. Maybe see if it helps if youā€™re struggling at night. Hope youā€™re ok. Xx

Aw thanks, I've tried the pillow thing but I toss an turn so much they end up down the bed or on the floor. My bed friend says I often sleep on my back with my feet flat to mattress so that my legs are bent šŸ˜‚ I did not kno I did this but I guess my body gets relief like that šŸ˜‚ I'm considering investing in one of those pregnancy pillows so I can wrap mesel round it like a koala šŸ˜‚Thanks for ya response, take care lass xx
