Hey, I keep getting a tingly kind of pain at the top of both my thighs, the doctor seemed to shrug it off as pain pushing down from my pelvis, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what pain killers they could recommend? I’ve had it almost daily now for around 3/4 weeks, thanks

Tingly pain at top of thighs
is it the back or front of your thighs? like near your groin or at the base of your butt cheeks?
Any kind of pain should not be ignored, even small tingly types as it could be a trapped nerve or blood supply to a nerve being compressed. Most doctors / GPs would ignore those (mine ignored my finger tingles) as they want to prescribe painkillers so we'll keep going back and sometimes for these the only thing that can help is physio which they aren't keen to recommend.
Painkillers may help but they won't stop the actual cause, just mask it, there are things you can do which can help if it's something you can actively do yourself. I accept we do have pain in areas we just have to deal with and that's awful to learn to live with.
I've learned so much from seeing a physio, chatting to them, being assessed and having physio including talking about how all the muscles and nerves work together; how this is affected by what we go through.
Hi, thanks for your reply, it is in the front of my thighs!
Not sure what exactly causes that as mine was in the back top of my thighs.
May be an idea to have an assessment done by a physio, usually the first appointment is free as it's a chat and an examination including movement. The NHS isn't helpful with referrals so I wen't privately. It may be worth a try more so if the doctors won't help.
Hi there, I have tingly numbness at the top of my thighs constantly and this has been attributed to endo affecting my sciatic nerve. Have you seen an endo specialist or had an MRI? They should be able to tell you more. A physio would also be a good place to start too. Unfortunately, I have had to except that this may never improve until the endo is removed or maybe ever. Excepting pain and discomfort from endo is all part of what makes us strong. Try attending a local endo group for support or perhaps access some counselling if you struggle in future as this may help. Good luck x
I had that and since seeing a good Osteopath it’s gone.
I have had this too. Feels tingly - wouldn't say it "hurts" however feels sensitive to touch and hot/cold. I get this cyclical with my cycle. usually around ovulation and the start of my period. I get it on the top of my thighs/sides and underneath - all on my upper thigh (above my knee) I have never experienced this below my knee. hope this helps..
