I recently had an ultrasound which showed a few cysts on my right ovary, one of which was haemorrhagic and they're suspecting endometriosis. I currently have the coil inserted, and am on yasmin also to try and reduce pain. Struggling massively with pain, taking tramadol daily and using hot water bottles religiously...
Due to covid elective surgeries have been postponed so it looks like this is going to be my life for a little while... is anyone else currently experiencing the same? I really do not want my life to revolve around pain relief and needing to curl up in a ball mid work shift...

Unfortunately I think a lot of us are in the same boat - I was referred to an endo clinic in February 2020 and only first spoke to a doctor there in late November. Also have multiple cysts, one is/was haemorrhagic, severe endo on multiple organs with urgent need for surgery. A big issue (as the doctor described it) is that even if the clinic itself is able to do surgery, which it often can't due to other covid-based constraints, there are only so many anaesthetists in the hospital, and they are almost all currently in intensive care working with covid patients. So it's going to be a while :/
Its such a difficult time isn't it.. I work in a hospital so I see first hand the true strains and I understand them, it's not something I'm particularly mad about. It's just so soul crushing to be in pain everyday... I hope things begin to get better for you
I'm experiencing something similar. I had my gynae appoint on December 1st, saying I had a 14cm dermoid cyst which needed to be removed urgently due to its size and the fact it is making me look 20 weeks pregnant. They initially said it would be a couple of months at most til the surgery and now the communication is next to nothing Now that all surgeries other than urgent cancer treatments have been cancelled they can't even give a rough idea of a timescale of when these surgeries will resume. So, I understand your frustration. Hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer and hopefully you get a surgery date fairly soon x
Oh gosh bless you, I feel for you. Im struggling big Tim, it is slightly reassuring that we're in the same boat however it breaks my heart that others are suffering... so hope things get sorted for you soon x
