Hope everyone is keeping well. I was hoping you can help me again this is the only place I can get help as more understanding about Endo.
Does anyone know if I’m there are any organisations I can speak to about Endo treatment pathways such as legislation and NHS guidelines and also about surgery for Endo. I’ve been looking into the NICE guidelines recently and now know that my GP has been dismissing my symptoms and had not followed the guidelines so I’ve been suffering for years now thinking it is all in my head. I’m currently on the waiting list for an op which is a year long and I don’t want to wait any longer it’s affecting every part of my life. I’ve managed to get the number for the surgery waiting list but no luck at the moment due to huge backlog. Please either reply here or PM me. I would be really grateful for the help.

There will be cancellations, do ask the consultants secretary or appointments how you’d go about being on the list.
Are you going back to GP to make them aware of how much you are suffering? They can contact your consultant. Most hospitals are in the same boat unfortunately, you can consider a referral to a different hospital, I don’t know how much it may or may not help.
The endo UK site has invaluable info and you have the NICE guidelines, there is also info on the gynaecologist society website.
Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. I’ve got an appointment with the doctor don’t know if that will help. I don’t want to go to another hospital as I don’t want to go through the whole process again and I’m not sure if it will be any different. Also the consultant I’m under has a specialism in Endo surgery. X
keeping notes may help so you don’t forget anything. If it’s telephone maybe have it on speaker with someone else listening and supporting. Great you’re with endo specialist 😀
