Transvaginal Scan findings

Recently I had an internal ultrasound and the results came back with suspected endometriosis and polyps on my ovaries... I’m waiting for a gyno appointment but i’ve seen a lot of people explain how they have endo symptoms but when it comes to the surgery the doctors can’t find anything. Is this because they haven’t had the internal scan to see if its suspected?

No it would usually be because the surgeon isn't skilled/experienced enough to find the endo. When an ultrasound finds endo it will be either in the form of endometriotic cysts in the ovaries or deep endo elsewhere in the pelvis which can sometimes be hidden when they operate so they need to know where to search. There are also places that it won't be visible at a lap even to an expert when it is outside the peritoneal cavity.

Okay, i think i’ll try to find an endo specialist so they know where to look if things are hidden
