Hi everyone, i had a negative lap over 6 months ago done by a general gyne and since been pushing for a 2nd opinion, when im off the pill symptoms are worse than ever and i dont want to continue to mask the issue
So a new dr. said it sounds like and probably is endo and wants to start me on zoladex as its used to treat endo ....do i push for an official diagnosis first or go ahead with this to treat something suspected? Im just worried in a couple of years time when i try for children i will struggle?
Also i suffer with PMDD i was told zoladex will also help with this however ive read some comments it can cause low mood?
Feeling lost and confused....
Appreciate some help and advice

You can only take it for 6 months so it will only postpone the issue and won't prove anything. Depending on your age you must be over 23 years but even then it can affect your bone density as it isn't fully developed until more like 30. There can be many other unwanted symptoms too. Also be aware that it doesn't treat endo it just treats symptoms in some women so can mask progression. I personally would want a diagnosis before taking such strong medication especially when a treatment plan will be needed after 6 months anyway.
Thanks for your reply. I'm 30...so i was told this is the treatment for endo? Even if i was diagnosed wouldn't they treat me with this anyway? I'm unsure if i should push for an MRI maybe or another lap done by a different doctor. I just want a definitive answer
It is a temporary treatment for endo pain that might help some. But it depends on the stage. Medical treatment generally is only for milder stages. An MRI is done if the symptoms suggest deep endo.
