Hormonal Acne remedies

Hey, I was given a mirena coil which I am guessing quite a few other people with endometriosis have as well. Unfortunately it has given me hormonal acne and this has been diagnosed by my doctor, I have taken lymecycline since March now and wanted to stop taking it however a week after stopping taking the tablets I am finding that my skin is breaking out again. I have also got some benzoyl peroxide which I am going to use but was wondering if anyone had found any herbal tablets that helped with acne that they would recommend? Thanks Abi

Don't laugh but udder cream and yes I mean the stuff farmers put in cows udders prior to milking.

It has helped my hormonal acne so much.

Don't my the posh branded stuff. Get the stuff in a big gold tub off amazon that is designed for farmers.

It is also great for dry skin, cuts and grazes and general all round skin care. There are some celebrities that use it as face cream.

Hi Honey_bun

I’m interested in this as I’ve had terrible trouble with hormonal acne after taking cerazette for a few months. I stopped taking it 3 years ago but have struggled with hormonal acne ever since.

Is it made by gold label the one you use?

Yes, It's called Gold label udder cream on Amazon and is in a gold tub.

I got a 2kg tub for £15 ( I think you can get smaller ones)

But I looked at branded ones and it was £15-25 for 200ml.

I put it in a smaller pot and use it at night as it is very thick. You only need a tiny bit.

We use it for minor skin injury and it keeps your feet amazingly soft!

My husband uses it for shaving rash when he gets it.

I love the stuff. Also great for hands with washing them so often and all the alcohol gels.

Not what you're looking for?
