Any Advice please as worried my period won't return after prostap injection back in April and in constant pain 🙄

Hi I was given a Prostap injection back in April 2020 for 3 months which did help with the pain but I haven't had a period since and it's s November next week I constantly feel like I'm on my period with the pain bloating and cramps even tramadol doesn't take the edge off. Please can anyone advise me what to do I'm worried I'm bleeding inside my pelvic cavity 😳x

Hi I had a similar injection of decapeptyl on August 14th. Was only supposed to last 4 weeks but I've only just started my period so it lasted 2 months! If you've had 3 months worth I'm assuming it will take longer for your natural hormones to kick back in but if your worried about it ask your doctor x

Thank you for your reply my consultant said I should get a period back in July so I thought I would wait it out for a while especially with covid etc but I might call dr. I hope you are pain free x

Hi there, if you’re worried you should definitely talk with your doctor. I’ve just finished a 2 year course of Prostap (last 3 month injection in march) and I had the more a fitted in January. Just 2 weeks ago I started with the pain, bloating, sore breasts etc. There was some bleeding but only slight. That has been going on for a couple of weeks but has calmed down (much less pain) so I’m wondering if that was a period! We all react differently but it does take a while for things to return. Do chat to your doctor though if you are concerned. Best of luck x

This is me too! I got jabbed on the 12th April 2020 and have had a torrid time ever since - no period or sign of a period yet! It is seriously stressing me out! I have been put on HRT as my Estrogen is seriously low but desperate for my hormones to return - I think they have killed my ovaries x x x

Sorry to hear your in the same situation its miserable. I called my gynae nurse and she booked me in for a blood test and scan a week ago just waiting for the results now, weird thing the day after my scan my period happened finally but still get pain so hopefully they will look into it. Maybe you could ring your consultant secretary and they can check to see what is going on especially as your oestrogen levels are low? take care xx
