I am a lupus suffer and was recently put on a chemo treatment which led me to being offered 3 prostap injections. I was really reluctant at the thought of an early menopause as I am 37. Anyway, I took them and now having had 2 injections (last 1 was in aug) I have now started to get hot flushes. Docs have decided not to give me 3rd prostap injection as they changed the treatment I am on. My question is will my symptons go? When does it all leave your system? Thanks in advance!

Prostap will leave your system as soon as your liver had metabolised it, so within a couple of days or so. But the symptoms will remain until your ovaries start working again which is controlled by hormones from your brain. It varies widely between women from a couple of months to many months. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing.
It depends on the individual case. Prostap just aims to treat symptoms not the disease. So if symptoms are mainly uterine (so period related) then it can help a lot but if there is endo affecting nerves/adhesions then it most likely won't.
