Worst flare up for a few years... Big decisions

Worst flare up for a while last week. I've been on the depo injection which has been fine with mild symptoms but last week I had the worst flare up I've had since before a lap I had in Jan 2018. I've been referred back to my consultant but my choices will basically be to try with the pill again, try to get pregnant (will be the second and last baby) or surgery. Consultant last time recommended finishing our family over operating again as my scar tissue last time affected my pregnancy and labor and recovery etc.

I know going on the pill again will be agony every two weeks for period and ovulation. Trying for a baby will be the same but will get worse and worse until I'm unable to walk. Surgery may prevent future pregnancies. Also not sure about pregnancy with bloody covid going on as I had so many emergency appointments last time I don't know if j could handle all appointments on my own... I lost a baby a few years ago and would be terrified. No idea what to do or where to turn.

My husband and myself aren't ready for another baby yet, other people don't understand the pain and fear of having no treatment in place at all to stop the endo regrowth.

I'm so scared it's just going to get worse whilst trying to get pregnant anyway.

Hi

A lot to handle, sounds like your husband is supportive. You’d have a case for taking someone with you as far as physical and mental health goes.

Maybe do a telephone call with GP on speaker so your husband can hear, or even consultant. Your post seems to have covered queries, maybe have this to hand.

Is the gynaecologist experienced in fertility and endo? If not look at who is and ask GP to refer to them. A second opinion can be valuable when there is so much going on. If you can afford to pay for a consultation, you get more time.

Hope you get sorted soon 🙂
