Heartburn and Endo and lack of appetite.

I’m trying to get diagnosed with endo.. and the last couple of weeks I have noticed newer symptoms, that I am not sure are related to endo and concerning me. I am getting heartburn and loss of appetite. I’m still eating and forcing myself to eat, however I am getting full very easily and it almost feels like I’m going to be sick when I keep forcing myself to eat, has anyone else had a similar experience ?

I sometimes get these symptoms too, although haven't had for a while now- the way I figured out they were to do with endo was that they were cyclical (I get them for about 2 weeks at beginning of cycle). For me the heartburn and nausea were always together.

I would keep an eye on this though any way. I can only go on my own experience, but maybe look for different explanations if it worsens rather then stays the same (as my symptoms never worsen), or gets to a point where you can't eat.

Try gaviscon in the meantime if you haven't already- simple but pretty effective for me! It doesn't always work right away, but I did find it lessened nausea or made nausea stop if I used it after every meal for a few days.

Hi thank you, that’s really helpful, the heartburn is happening at the start to mid of cycle.

Are you on any meds to treat your endo symptoms? Mefenamic Acid, which might be given to treat bleeding and/or pain symptoms can cause heartburn and indigestion as I am sure others may have it as a possible side effect as well. Likewise, if you home medicate with an anti-inflammatory like Ibprofen as it can also cause the same issues when used long term.

I have been prescribed Omeprazole to counter this and it has made a massive difference. It might be worth asking your GP surgery if they can prescribe something to help. In the meantime zantac might help, which you can get at the pharmacy. The store brand of the same thing tends to be much cheaper.

Thank you, I’m not currently on any medication for it.

I've noticed acid reflux in the last year, not all the time and always just in the morning but wasn't sure if it was related or random.
