I posted on here a few weeks ago as I had new symptoms after a laparotomy and was trying to work out if they were because I have Endometriosis or if it could be because of something else. The loss of appetite symptom is puzzling me so I thought I would go into more detail with the hope that someone may be able to understand what it is/what is going on.
So as I mentioned in my last post, I had a laparotomy in early October and I have had a bunch of symptoms which have lasted since the op and also some more recent ones one being loss of appetite; with the appetite issue - I am bloated all the time and when I feel hungry even though I mentally feel as though I could eat a reasonable amount I can’t seem to stomach much and the more I eat the more bloated I get. I am aware bloating can be an endo related problem but in terms of the hunger problem it is as if my stomach is not sending messages to my brain as I am hungry but I cannot eat enough to satisfy the hunger.
Would be grateful for anyone’s input,
Sophie

Even though I haven't had a laparotomy, I have issues with appetite too. I see food but I just don't want it. Even when I do eat its maybe half of what I used to as I bloat very easily now.
I suppose when the body is battling any illness you will not feel particularly hungry. Sometimes it is also worth looking if you are taking any other medicines as they are can sometimes cause loss of appetite too. It could be worth mentioning it to your doctor in case it may be linked to something else.
Hi yes i have had endo for 5 yrs had the operation 4yrs ago. Last few months i have also been experiencing appetite problems where i feel so hungry i almoat feel. Sick but also feel like im falsing myself to eat and feel full up after bout 4 mouthfuls of food.
