I had my 3rd lap a month ago for endometriosis where they then put me on zoladex and tibolone. I had my first jab a week ago and ever since as well as hot flushes etc I have had the worst tiredness and complete brain fog I have ever experienced! I have had GNrh treatments before but don't remember feeling like this! Has anyone else experienced this?
thanks

I had a similar experience - few side effects on my first GnRH treatment and several more (including exhaustion and brain fog) on my second.
Most GnRH side effects tend to be caused by hypoestrogenism (oestrogen deficiency), which is why Specialists now usually prescribe add-back HRT alongside it. Can you get in touch with your prescribing Specialist and/or GP and tell them how you are feeling? It may be that your add-back HRT dose could be tweaked to ease the brain fog and exhaustion? The HRT dose isn’t “one size fits all” and different women find different brands and formulations of HRT suit them better than others.
Have you got a copy of the Summary of Product Characteristics for Zoladex? It’s a more detailed version of the patient leaflet and I found it can be helpful to be able to refer to it when talking to your GP / Specialist about side effects. You can download a copy online here:
Hi, I am on my 3rd injection of Zoladex and was told to start my tibolone on the 4th. I havent had many side effects on the Zoladex alone, the ones I did have have settled right down now. I have since spoken to the consultant who has said I don't need to take the tibolone at all if my side effects from zoladex are not an issue for me which I am happy about as I'm sure that comes with a whole new set of side effects! Obviously only allowed to take zoladex without it for 6 months because of possible bone loss. What I'm trying to say is that your side effects could be a combination of the two and you may not need to take both straight away.
