I have endometriosis and I had one laparoscopic surgery. First see my example 1 water tank capacity 500liters 2 motors for filling the water tank. Water tank filling time is 1 hours with 2 motors. Then 1 motors was removed. Now same water tank capacity but 1 motors now water filling time is 2 hours. Now my problem is heavy period. I have 2 ovaries if I remove one ovary means less period. Please answer me.

Thank you for all

No the bleeding comes from the shredding of the lining of your uterus. I dont think it will make a difference whether you have one or two ovaries as that one ovary could still produce eggs.

The number of ovaries doesn't affect your period flow, it won't make your period heavy or lighter. Your period happens because the egg isn't fertilised so there's a drop in hormones thus triggering the lining of the uterus to come away. Your ovaries normally alternate egg release - so maybe the right one month and the left the next, some women can tell this by the sharp pain they get around ovulation. The amount you produce during your period is unique to you, it's the amount the uterus walls grow in preparation for a fertilised egg.

It's now known that with the removal of an ovary the other takes over and usually results in releasing an egg every cycle to compensate for the lost ovary. So your cycles and periods should still be the same. Some women in rare circumstances may have a different cycle length or different phases of their cycle as your body adjusts to one ovary.

Thanks for answering. I hate heavy bleeding during birth control pills. I'm virgin girl now am taking birth control pills Ethinyl Estradiol (0.02mg)+ Desogestrel (0.15mg). 17 months of using this tablet. First 6 months for 63 days back to back and next month still today for 42 days back to back. Some time spotting and bleeding and vaginal pain.Daily abdominal pain. But now heavy clots last 2 days during birth control pills. Remember it I did not Missed any tablet I would taken same time every day. Why happened to me. I'm really really worried about it. Today ultrasound scan report was normal. My doubt is any issues in my cervical area?. Please answer me.
