Although my gas pain in the shoulders wnd chest etc has eased significantly, I’m still getting pain in my neck and shoulders at night when I sleep. I’m 9 days post op & still sleeping upright in bed too. I normally lie on my stomach or side when I sleep but just afraid because of the stitches and pain. I was told to lie upright in bed to help any gas so that’s what I’ve been doing since as I don’t feel like the gas they filled me witb has quite left my body yet
Any idea if the gas pain will just slowly ease or if there’s something I should be concerned about?

Hi, had lap oophorectomy 4 weeks ago. I had bad gas pain, especially shoulder and neck for a couple of weeks. It slowly eased off. I realised that the neck pain was also because I wasn't as comfortable lying down as I thought. Make sure you drink loads. That seemed to help.
Now the pain has moved into my lower back, yay. But hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
