Shooting pain after Laparoscopy

I had a small cyst removed by Laparoscopy on Monday 21st Sept and feel like I haven't bounced back as quickly as I'd hoped. I'm really bloated but the most concerning thing is that I get a shooting pain about an inch below my left side incision when I sit up / stand up - anyone else have this and does it go away? I'm worried a nerve's been touched/damaged?!

Hey!

I had mine on 9th September. I kept getting sharp shooting pains too & I thought omg no what have I done, I’ve made it worse, but it’s gone now, so maybe just from healing etc. Take your time & just be kind to yourself, your body has gone through a lot xxx

Amazing, thank you! I was worried that a nerve had been damaged as it's not there all the time and just comes on mostly when I stand up or get out of bed - jeez, it hurts. Did you have bloating? I'm tiny and look 4 months pregnant!! xx

Mine wasn’t there all the time, kind of like an electric shock that comes and goes but would make me jump, was a horrible feeling but did eventually go! Thank god. I did have bloating but it did go down a little, but I am still bloated & I think you can be for a while, I think we forget what our bodies go through. I feel like I can do everything now, but keep reminding myself not too push myself too much. Give it time & you will be fine xxx
