Needing to urinate feeling - new symptom

Ahh so new symptom: period came yesterday, usual pains, but just before bed last night after emptying my bladder etc I lay there with a feeling of needing to wee, it was awful, felt like my bladder was full but nothing came out when I tried (it feels like cystitis). It went when I look paracetamol an ibuprofen (after reading up online).

I can only think it must be related to my period pains and things pressing on my bladder. It seemed to have passed on day 2, but then my cramps ease off now too.

I did do 3 hours of sports classes that evening where they focused on core / abs work - I actually felt good after that, perhaps I over did it slightly.

Anyone else had this??

Hi hope you’re well! This may not seem very helpful as I am yet to be diagnosed (having issues in that department). However, I suffer with this from time to time especially if I lay a certain way in my bed I feel pressure as if I need the toilet and never actually need to go it’s as if something is pushing on my bladder! It’s not like it constantly but it can come and go. I wonder if it’s like that for you? I find if I do too much I can feel pressure and heavy pains in my abdomen too!

I had this a lot last year, sometimes UTI, mostly not. It’s a bit more under control now as I know sitting upright is an issue. Uterus is pressing on bladder.

Might be an idea to do a urine test to rule out infection.
