Hi after years of painkillers am now having stomach problems... Anyone been prescribed painkillers which are not oral? Or a strong 'once a day pill' maybe? My docs said to go off Naproxen but offered no alternative! Please help! ❤️

I have this too. Years of NSAIDs without knowing the risks. I dont have the endo pain now so much as I have the coil but prior to this I went on to try the heat wraps that wrap around your stomach (not the press on small ones) and stick to paracetamol where possible. At one point I reduced the NSAIDs to just one with a paracetamol which was surprisingly effective instead of a few NSAIDs at at time. My niece also with endo has just got a tens machine and says it’s a real help. Sorry you have the same stomach problems,I find it very painful.

I find that suppositories have been suggested to help take strain off my stomach, paracetamol and diclofenac suppositories I find are really effective and reduce the tablet intake, it’s also helpful that it is in the area of your pain immediately. You should be able to ask your gp about these. I hope you find something that works! X

I have this and it's not remotely fun. My solution is generally paracetemol, and using co-codamol (usually 8/500, but sometimes 30/500) when it's particularly bad. Hopefully this gives you some options to discuss with your GP!

I have diclofenac suppositories that I take with paracetamol (or cocodamol if it's bad). They work quite well - last for longer than naproxen or mefenamic acid tablets I find. And obviously no stomach damage. Only problem is you don't get that many per prescription so I'm having to fork out more frequently!
