Good evening everyone - first post as I am fresh out of a Laparscopy today!
It was arranged via the Gynae team back in December for ongoing pelvic pain - was scheduled for April and then cancelled due to COVID.
A CT Scan and ultrasound last year showed pelvic congestion syndrome and ‘something’ in my left side (either a cyst or a hydrosalpinx) - but the Gynae I saw in December was actually quite rude, and told me my pain isn’t because of any of that (and that pelvic congestion’s syndrome doesn’t even exist), and that it’s more likely to be endometriosis. So he booked a laparoscopy.
I wasn’t convinced at all, as I don’t have particularly painful periods, have never had fertility problems, etc... - I just didn’t think that I ‘fit’ the mould for Endo...
Then today after my Lap, the doctor comes and tells me I have deep Endo and the posterior side of my uterus is stuck to my bowel..!
She drained what turned out to be a cyst attached to my Fallopian tube on my left side, but said the tubes and ovaries themselves, and the bladder, all look ok - it’s literally just my bowel that it’s stuck to.
Has anyone had any experience of this, where it’s just adhered to the bowel and nothing else, and can tell me what you then had done to treat it..?
She has told me she’ll be ordering an MRI to see how deep it is, and then we will discuss ‘second stage treatment’ - not sure if that’ll be laparscopy or laparotomy 🤷♀️
Thank you for any advice!
