Endo pain flare up during period with bladder, bowel, hip, back pain. Cocodamol and ibuprofen alongside heat aren’t managing or even really touching the pain.

I am awaiting surgery at a BSGE centre. Can I contact my gp to try and get some stronger painkillers to help whilst I wait? Am I likely to get anywhere? What may they suggest?

Hi I’m so sorry you’re struggling at the moment with the pain :( I’m in a similar situation on a waiting list for surgery and had a bad flare up a few weeks ago where my usual naproxen wasn’t helping. Spoke to my DR who was really lovely and she prescribed a slightly stronger anti inflammatory and advised if I need to I can take it with co-codamol as well. I get constipated when taking co-codamol so she prescribed lactulose which is a liquid you take to stop this..I was still in some pain but it was manageable compared to before and helped a lot. Defo try calling your DR to see if they can help in the meantime xx
