TMI - Sorry! pink/brown discharge end of period?

Have gotten this last period and now this one. At the end just when i think i've finished my period and pad is clean, i get this pink/ brown discharge come out but its more mucus than period blood. It only comes out the one time then nothing. I feel some relief pain wise when that happens.

Anyone have this or know what it is? Is this endo related?

Thanks!

I get this too- no idea why. It's like discharge mixed with red/brown blood. I've had every check test going and nothing really explains it. I have adenomyosis, a small 5cm cyst on my left ovary and lots of tiny fibroids.

I also sometimes get this type of discharge when I exercise (which I do alot). My consultant says that's not unusual.

Sorry I can't be of more help - just wanted you to know that you're not alone! Gx

Thank you for your reply. I guess with endo it could be anything. When this whole lockdown boils over I'll try and get in contact with GP and mention it.

Thanks!

Had brown discharge at the end for ever, which is around thirty plus years. I’m not sure if it’s linked, but it all seemed to tie in when I saw the consultant in December. I didn’t ask specifically.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's endo. I am blaming everying on endo now 😁

Thanks it's reassuring to know that it doesnt sound like its serious but i'll check it out soon.

Going through this experience I would recommend getting in touch with GP for advice and referral. Certainly not leave it the way I did 😂

I’ve got a fair bit done recently through GP, some I had to be very proactive, but that was ok. They are reasonably quiet.

Until diagnosis in December endo hadn’t crossed my mind as a possibility, you’ll be able to talk to GP and make the suggestion which will be a big advantage.

Good luck 🙂

Hi there. I have the same thing at both the start and end of my period every month and have done for years and years. My gynae told me it’s old blood which can be quite typical for Endo. As it’s a new symptom for you, as with all new symptoms, it’s worth mentioning to your GP though.

Take care, x

Sure. Will do that soon, If i cant get appointment to see him then I'll try for a phone consultation instead.

Yes it sound like old blood because its brown but it's the sort of pink/bloody bit that i am concerned about.

Appreciate it

I've had this too. Does it seem sort of watered down? It really confuses me because the only thing I've ever experienced has been bright red or a bit darker blood. But since my symptoms for worse I've had very dark and kinda dry discharge, pale pink and also watery stuff? It's all so mysterious I wish someone could explain it because I've never made any sense of any of it!

Also I've wondered if adenomyosis isn't more likely to cause abnormal bleeding, as surely the problem with endo is that the blood doesn't escape your body and you bleed inside instead? I really don't know.

in reply toAlbeon

Neither do i! 😂😂

It's sometimes watery yes! ugh...but mostly just mucus. And why it happens at the end I don't know. Strange goings - on with this endo. I blame everything on it now.

Hope you can get some answers because i'm still baffled somewhat!

I get this too. For 2 or sometimes 3 days post period. Mentioned it to GP a year or more ago and was told hormones/aging change things. Is always right after my period like it hasn't fully finished, almost but not quite. I've just had my 3-year smear done and that was clear.
