Periods stop on mirena after a year and a half?

Hi everyone!

I had a mirena coil for treatment after being diagnosed with endometriosis in March 2019.

I know sometimes people’s periods stop between 6-12 months, but what’s the chances of this happing after a year and a half please?

Until this point I’ve had pretty regular periods every 4 weeks.

It’s now been about 6/7 weeks with nothing.

I have been getting cramps and the pulling/stabbing pain I normally get from the middle of the month till my period but no period...

Would the mirena be likely to have stopped my periods now??

Hi there! I'm so glad I have read this - I have had mine for 10 months and have bled every 4 weeks like a normal cycle - this month, I am now 6 weeks without any bleeding - getting all the cramps and pains but no bleeding! I think it must be due to the coil - I can't think of anything else it can be!
