Knees problem and endo anyone?

Hi i have question about endo and joints problem.. about half a year my knees was very painful and i have been to GP couple months ago and he said that i must exercise more as there is no much muscules on knees and whats Why they couse me pain. He give me naproxen and codine and tell to exercise. I was trying but as pain of endo i stopped and now is worse but i exercise more however this pain dont stop... i wonder also if this is not endo related? Im having also pain in my right elbow (GP couple years ago gave me a sick note for 2 weeks as it was massive pain like tennis elbow) Have anyone having experience like that? With joints? I have period now i noticed that this knees are worse,,. Didnt sleep all night i will be gratefull for any response.

Hi

Yes the joint pain can be related to the Endo. I have the same symptoms as you with knee pain and elbow pain, I was told the elbow pain was golfers elbow (never played golf in my life!) and it is only until recently that I connected it to the endo.

The pain happens because of the lower levels of oestrogen during your period and because we suffer from endo these levels fluctuate a lot more so the pain can happen at any time.

I take naproxen and co codamol but find that when it is really bad the naproxen is the only thing that helps.

With supplements i read that collagen also helps. But not less than 10g per day. 🙂
