In November 2019 I was admitted to hospital with pain in my right side and a massive infection after a ct scan I had a 7cm mass on my ovary I had surgery to drain it after that I had a check up and found the mass was still there and I needed a full hysterectomy taking both ovaries my right ovary was fused to my bowel as well so that was done to, my op went well and I’ve had no check up with gynaecologist that operation was done in January I’m now 12 weeks in and I’m having pressure when going to toilet and also pain in the same area I was having before my operation in November I called the ward and they said it sounds like a bladder infection and to get some from my doctor I finished those on Sunday and I still feel the same pains not sure if it’s normal or should I call my gynaecologist ward and see if they will see me any information would be great

I’d call either GP or gynaecologist to check, no point in suffering unnecessarily. I can’t help as far as the link with the hysterectomy, sorry. I’ve possibly got that to come.
Hope you get it sorted ASAP.
I had my hyster end of October 2019. I went into urinary retention straight after. I had 10 infections post hysterectomy which drs felt was not normal so got referred to urology. I had a cystoscopy which detected I had debris in my bladder. They say, it takes around 6 months post hysterectomy for things to ease out as our bodies have been through trama. You are the master of your body and know when something is not right. Call the GP. Wishing you all the best in your recovery. X
