Just wanted to post as a few have asked how I’m doing after my total hysterectomy, I know everyone’s experience will be different but for me it’s the best thing I’ve done.
I’m still recovering but I have no pain 🥳 moving about going on short walks and just feeling better in myself.
Adenomyosis was found in my uterus and endo removed during surgery.
Just wanted to share with you all Xx

Thank you for sharing your experience as i might be having a uterus/cervix removel sometime this year and very nervous about it. It's brilliant news you are healing well. Please keep us updated xx
Hi Bubbles how are you feeling about that? Are you keeping your ovaries? Yes it’s better than what I thought I’d be like at this stage ☺️ just wanted to share some positive news for a change Xx
Thanks for your reply i am very nervous im currently been put back on Prostap Injections which has helped with the endos pains. How is your recovery going? my consultant wants me to keep my ovaries im 40 now and don't know what to do xx
My zoladex injections helped me too ☺️ my recovery is going well thanks, few weeks then I can go back to work☺️ I had mine out and I’m 27 was on Hrt before operation for 6 months and got to stay on it for many years but I don’t mind. Do you want to keep them I’m sure you have a say I did? Xxx
Hi its such good news your recovery is going well. im not sure if i wanna keep my ovaries as im worried the endos will come back and the horrible painful boobs and PMS before you have a period but if i have my uterus removed the consultant said i will still have periods but it will just go back into the body. I probably need to do some research the pros and cons xx
Thank you ☺️ yeh do your research I had mine just because me and consultant discussed the options and I would only need surgery in years to come to have them removed and more chance of endo coming back xxx
Really that's must of been horrible for you, i've only had 1 lap and it was over my ovaries and behind my uterus the pouch of douglas i think he called it then on and off ive had prostap injections because the pain gets worse each month xx
It wasn’t nice I kept getting pain in my right ovary before the recent surgery and now I know why, aww I feel for you the zoladex injections helped me so much xx
They are a godsend the injections I know they come with side effects and medical induced menopause but to get some relief is better then nothing, I hope the rest of your recovery goes smoothly take care and please keep me updated on your progress its nice to hear a successful 1 xx
Thank you for sharing your positive progress. I'm on the waiting list for a hysterectomy and my ovaries removed. I'm getting more nervous about the recovery and having endometriosis removed from my bowel. It's great to hear some positive post surgery news. Wishing you a speedy recovery xx
Thanks for sharing as lots of us are waiting for similar procedures and it’s great to hear some positive feedback about your recovery. As it’s so depressing when suffering with pain and it waiting game. X
Hi Lou! Thank you so much for sharing your experience ❤️ and I hope yoube continued to recover and stay pain free!
Sorry, I know this post is older now, but I just wondered if you had a laparoscopic hysterectomy, and how long you stayed in hospital for if you won't mind sharing?
