Could my contraceptive implant be causing my pelvic pain?

Hello!

I’ve been having on and off pelvic pain for around two years, i’ve been to the doctors numerous times and they have only just found a cyst on my right ovary. The gynaecologist said it was a simple cyst and nothing to worry about. They said I get the pain because the cyst is moving everything slightly to the left.

I did a bit of research as to why these cysts occur and one of the main reasons that kept popping up was when you fail to ovulate/don’t release an egg. I then did a bit of research on how the contraceptive implant works (as that is what I use), and it prevents ovulation/releasing the egg.

I also don’t recall ever getting this pain or having this issue before I had the implant.

Could my implant be the underlying cause to my pelvic pain or is it just a coincidence?
