Hi all, i know this isnt a fertility group but I was wondering if anyone might have any advice as I'm feeling a bit lost and depressed. I have stage 4 endo and low amh. I was advised to go straight to ivf as excision surgery to remove endometrioma will lower my amh further but I have now had two failed attempts. First was a double day 3 transfer after getting 3 eggs and the second was yesterday, I had just one egg retrieved and it didn't fertilise so no transfer at all. I'm not sure whether I should now just pursue surgery with the knowledge that it will lower my already low amh. If after surgery natural conception doesnt work i could always try mini ivf. Any advice much appreciated xxx

Hi,
Try not to get too disheartened.
I am also stage 4, age 35. My AMH was low both before and after surgery (it only reduced a little bit with surgery). I then tried a round of IVF, got 4 fertilized eggs and double transfer but they were of poor quality and failed. I was advised there is no point trying again. I am now on a waiting list for egg donor IVF. Even when you think you’re at the end of the road, there is always another path in a different direction you can take.
Thanks for your response. I am def considering donor egg but want to explore all other options first (surgery and perhaps low stim ivf). Are you doing donor eggs in the UK or abroad? I am undecided about whether or not I would want my child to be able to track the donor, it's such a personal decsion but it is something I am activley researching). Best of luck xxx
