Endo & ‘IBS’

Hi again all! 👋🏼

I was diagnosed in January this year. (I know/understand little even with countless Googling and support from you all)

I was diagnosed with ‘IBS’ 3 years ago, which always seems to worse just before, during and for a few days after my bleed.

Sometimes it comes out of nowhere, despite me ALWAYS following FODMAP and slowly introducing new food.

My gynaecology appointment isn’t until May, so I’m not even sure what ‘Stage’ I am in, or classed as.

I understand diarrhoea is associated with endometriosis, especially if it is on the bowel?

What stage is everyone who suffers with pesky bowel movements?

Thank you!

Hi,

I was stage 4, and I ended up having a resection. I am having a rubbish time with it at the moment. I have been told they think I have microscopic colitis and IBS too, but I'm pretty sure it is my endo.

I'm vegan and eat well, but sometimes it makes 0 difference.

I hope you get some answers

Hi! In the last year I have been diagnosed with stage 4. I have endo on my bowels, which has caused my bowel and uterus to stick together. I'm having surgery next month where I'll have a gynae and bowel surgeon operating on me. I suffer with constipation all month and significant bloating and discomfort all month except for a few days after ovulation. Before they found out I had endo I was told I had IBS. I tried FODMAP and it made no difference. No wonder if I have endo on my bowel! Hope u get the answers you need! Let me know if you have any qs x

This is exactly what I’m like! However, I get extreme bloating and diarrhoea as opposed to constipation! FODMAP made no difference for me despite how long I’ve been sticking to it.

Thank you!! I will take you up on the q’s as I go through my journey. Xx
