Hi everyone

I had surgery for endometriosis last summer which has offered me a huge amount of relief. I was still having some pain however and the doctor after a scan confirmed I also have adymeosis.

I have since been on the prostap injection for about 3 months and it has honestly been like a miracle cure for me! Felt completely different with no swelling or pain anymore! However I’ve been told that I can’t be on the injection for a long period and the next step is the Mirena coil

Has anyone else had success with postap and the switches to Mirena? I am also worried about how long it will take to settle and whether it helps with pain during sex? I was sceptical about the prostap but it’s been great so willing to give anything a try!

I had the regular mirena the T shaped one. I had to get it removed cause I was getting excessive weight gain and it was also causing more pain then the endo itself. I now have the nexplanon in my arm. Got it due to not getting my period for 3 months and then I got the nexplanon and was bleeding from 02/01 - 02/27 but extended spotting/periods is a common side effect of it.
