One month of prostap sr

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how long it will be until I feel "normal" after having 1 shot of 3.75 prostap please?

I was originally put on it for 6 months as a "trial" to confirm my pain and bleeding is a gynae problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wasn't told exactly what these injections were until I was given the leaflet after it was administered.

Basically I don't feel my symptoms warrant it and there could have been other ways to rule out or confirm.

I don't feel like me and have decided not to have any more. How long does it stay in the system? It will be 2 weeks on Thursday. I'm just counting down the days until it's gone.

My anxiety is through the roof, I'm paranoid and generally low in myself. Please be kind with your answers. Thank you x

hey I’ve just had my third injection and I’m not really feeling the benefits, I’m bleeding every two weeks which I feel isn’t normal and I was already on anxiety tablets, but I’m still quite anxious, if you want to talk more about it please feel free to message me it would be nice to talk to someone else going through it!x

Thank you for the response Jemma97.

It's awful isn't it. Sorry to read you're having a rough time of it.

I'm just all confused why I've been put on it and reading everyone's posts I don't think I have it as bad as some.

I think I can cope with the pain and bleeding but obviously something isn't right and I guess they are just trying to rule things out.

How have you been feeling day to day? I think I can cope with the headaches and insomnia. It's the anxiety and feeling of doom I can't cope with. I had a panic attack 2 days after the injection.

I'm generally a worrier and think worse case scenario but this has heightened every possible threat 🙈

I've noticed I'm not as snappy though. My moods the other way. Not sure which is better!x

Yeah I think they use it to try and help with the symptoms! Have you been on the pill previously? I was but it didn’t work that’s why I was put on it! They didn’t tell me about all the side effects either which made it very confusing!

Aw no that’s awful that that has happened to you! Hopefully it’ll calm down for you soon! Sorry if it’s too personal but did you have anxiety before? I don’t think the injection really helps with it unfortunately!

I completely understand where you’re coming from though I’m such a big worrier and I don’t think it helps at all!

Has it helped with your actual symptoms?x

Yeah I've had a panic attack many years ago but hadn't really suffered since until recently. I think it's naturally in me to be quite anxious though.

Symptom wise no unless it's too soon to say. I bled for 2 weeks before the injection and has now stopped nearly 2 weeks after so I'm not sure if that's the injection or not.
