Tired / exhausted - help!

Hey, morning all, how are you?

I'm feeling that well known exhausted / brain foggy / tired stuff. Hasn't shifted all weekend and now the usual working week starts.

What do you do to combat this tiredness / exhausted feeling? Sleep doesn't make a difference, I already do things to help me relax / calm down at the end of the day. I do exercise - although I think I may have pushed myself a bit too much last week so perhaps I'm still recovering. I'm about mid cycle, tiredness like this usually kicks a few days before my period so this isn't normal for me. I eat a healthy balanced diet, with little gluten, dairy, red meat, I avoid caffeine, don't drink or smoke, do lots of regular exercise, spend time on meditation, calming thoughts, get my usual 7-8 hours sleep. On weekend when there's not much socialising / demand on my brain and i can rest in bed until about 9am (usual working week is about 7am) I'm mostly fine. I don't fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night all too well (just a light sleeper and fidgety) unless I'm napping in blocks of about 2 hours.

Are there any vitamins / foods / supplements I could take / have which perhaps I'm missing?

Hey I get very tired also and especially the week before my period.

If I can I literally let my body sleep although not easy when I have my own business to run!

I take b vitamins daily and I ensure I have a high protein diet with plenty of vegetables and water.

Try to watch the amount of caffeine and sugar you have as if you are tired already your body will peak and then trough.

I too struggle with sleep but I have found my boxing training helps and also the app calm as I was awake for hours but that helps me nod off well.

We are all different but it’s worth a shot 😊
