Can endometriosis make your fertility worse over time? A couple of years ago I was fortunate to get pregnant after just a few months of trying but id like to start trying for another baby this year but need to be in my job for at least 14 months by the Expected Due Date. Im worried that endometriosis may have made my fertility worse and therefore should I try sooner just in case it takes a long time and just risk the chance of getting enhanced maternity pay. Can my fertility change as a result of the condition?

Does fertility change with endometriosis?
As someone with experience yes I didn’t no I had this condition like you waited for my maternity I then lost that baby at 12.5 week had I known I had endo I wouldn’t have waited a baby is worth more than maternity or ivf you’d have to pay out if it got worse I’m in the predicament now of having to pay for surgery to help save my fertility not to scare you just saying I wouldn’t wait if that’s only thing stopping you sometimes second times harder for some people
It can make your Pregnancy worse but depends on the severity of your endometriosis.
May affect Fertility. I would consult with your Gynecologist with any concerns.
Once pregnant If the Gynecologist is concerned then you can go with a high risk Gynecologist and they will monitor the growth of baby regularly. Hope this helps and alleviates any concerns.
Yes. Endometriosis grows progressively more and more.
But what is your background? Have you ever had full excision? At what stage is your endometriosis?
Yes, endometriosis can have a negative affect on fertility, and the worse the endo is, usually the greater the impact. Around 30-50% of women with endometriosis will have a fertility problem.
However, this is only likely to be an issue if your endo has been getting worse. If it was treated and you have not been ovulating between pregnancies (pill/coil), no reason to believe things have changed, right?
Hi.
It will depend on the location & severity of your endometriosis .
In my case it- I didn’t know I had endo until I faced infertility we’d been trying for nearly 6 years when I was eventually diagnosed. I had a chemical pregnancy but went on to have my daughter after 2 more surgeries. I had my son from a previous relationship many years before with no issue ( 21 years ago!!) Mine grew on bowel, pod, uterosacral ligaments & affected implanting as the lining was hostile & uneven. I did manage to conceive naturally ( once treated)
I would ask your specialist for their opinion on your endo & go from there.
To qualify for statutory maternity you need to be working for 26 weeks continually until 15 th week before the baby is due.
You cannot be discriminated against for being pregnant. Do whatever is right for you xxx
To see how fertile you are, check your AMH value
I'm afraid it does...I was told when I was diagnosed to hurry up and "pop" a child like it was some thing you just buy in supermarket... I wasn't ready at the time nor had the right partner.
I'm also interviewing an endometriosis fertility specialist for my page. If you have any questions you want to ask him, tell me. forms.gle/u4BZ6hcLKGcqNPbL9
