I have had 4 laps and a miscarriage and an ectopic with other complications I was trying for 10 years and my miracle has only just happened, IVF wasn't an option for me as it was too much never give up some changes in your lifestyle no matter how small can make a difference

I used to drink energy drinks in abundance aswell as cola but since stopping it's done wonders for my health and skin also the vitamins help too I never thought they did till now, now I take them everyday I went cold turkey with the caffeine which was hard but determination paid off in the end I have a cuppa every now n again but no where near as much caffeine as before xxx

I didn't fall pregnant after any of my laps, though had high hopes after my major one in 2017. But my endo was really aggressive and came back with cysts on the ovaries and filled up the douglas pouch again after it...so when they did the 3rd lap to empty cysts and set me on the road for IVF they explained that those factors all really reduced my chances which is why we took the path we did. I am now pregnant (12 weeks) from the first round of IVF and excited.

I know of friends and a musician I love who conceived after laps though, the musician quite a while later from what I know. I think everyone is different, if you are worried go and get referred to a fertility specialist so you can exclude other factors and get the best go at it. No need to just look at IVF immediately there either. :)

I wish you good luck and all the best!

Aww congrats that’s amazing!! So happy for you , yes that’s true I’ve done lots of tests and done the dye test and it said I could still fall pregnant but one of my tubes are completely ruined but your right maybe I just need to forget about it and hopefully it may just happen xx

I don't think you have to forget, I don't think any of us ever can, but cut yourself and your body some slack if possible (which is bloody hard some days as I remember so sending you love and cheering for you).

If you want to keep going as is for now but feel like you are trying something else too, see if you are happy with your diet and you have enough vit D and iron in your system. That is something my dietician tested me for when I first saw her after trying plus being diagnosed with endo/after the first lap. A call to your GP and you can arrange a blood test, no need for specialists etc. for that. :) It might help you feel more in control of something in this weird process of trying to get pregnant. Not saying diet or vitamins will fix it but it can support you emotionally and physically at least.

I lost one tube in the first lap among other things, so I know where you are coming from. I was told my body won't care about that, but one does wonder.

Fingers crossed for you whichever path you choose.

Yeah literally it’s impossible it’s always on my mind I’ve never wanted something so bad and I work with children so that does and doesn’t help lol . And aww thanks hun ! Your so kind sending you lots of love too with your journey through pregnancy!! It’s amazing that it’s happened for you !! I think when we have these problems sometimes we just need the ivf to help us out and it’s so nice to hear first time round it was successful!! . And yes thanks for that advise hun I’ve had my hormones checked but not really my vitamin d and iron and stuff like that I should defo give the gp a call . And aww thanks hun like after my first lap and only lap I was just told I had so many issues also PID so rubbish but you’ve really made me feel more positive about it all thankyou for your time I really appreciate it it’s nice to talk to people who know what your going through experiencing xx

Hi. I know exactly how you feel. It’s so horrible. I had my lap in sept so 4/5months ago and still nothing. I had an ectopic in July but I lost my tube. So now dealing with stage 4 endo and one tube. I’m trying naturally but I don’t think it’s easy for this to happen. I’m in the process of starting ivf as I’m not prepared to wait for my endo to grow back. I would rather have a shot when my endo is at its minimum xxxx

Yeah exactly and the Gyne told me to try for atleast one year after the lap before doing anything more but no luck at all . Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that ! I know that one of my tubes is completely ruined so this defo minimises the chances. Aww I hope it all goes well for you I don’t blame you it’s so annoying because I moved house and the new Gyne I’ve been seeing is terrible completely dismissed me when I lived in London it was so much better xx

One of my closest friends has stage 2 endometriosis and was diagnosed 7/8 years ago in her twenties. She has found it hard conceiving but she is now finally pregnant after almost 9 years of having the condition. She did have a couple of miscarriages but currently is 5 months pregnant. She told me that get the conditions pain under control helped her because it has reduced her stress levels. She also had some sort of test done to check her fertility chances.

Sophiii in reply toDoll30

Aww wow that’s amazing!! I think I need to sort the pain out first then maybe try might be better for my body , just goes to show it is possible though oh yes I had that done and says that I can but just nothing so strange x

Hey! I’ve had 5 laps so far for my endo and fell pregnant the first time after having sex on my last one. I know this won’t be common, it was certainly unexpected but just to give you hope that it isn’t impossible x
