Degestrol ... first period and pmt question

Hey

So i have endo, got diagnosed over 25 years ago now.. i have kept in under control with the pill but then 10 years ago they took me off as i was getting migraines.

So decided to do it naturally by goin in a anti inflammatory food diet which has worked until now...

So im 45 and i have started to bleed for prob the last 7 months, i left it putting it down to peri menopause but before xmas i went to the dr... had smear and bloods and all came back clear and also not menopause my hormones were normal.

So she put me on degestrol and mefanamic acid...

So today i was due on period and i have had pmt the last week, my anxiety is high and i have been having night terrors but the period is just spotting? Is this normal?

I feel bloated and like i am about to have one but it not really happening...

I know it early days to settle into a pill and i need to give it 3 months and im happy if this is it... coz my periods were horrendous... lay on floor crying horrendous...

Just wanted other people experience of it?
