Really bad pains

Still waiting on my second op date to come though, I suffer from Endometriosis and I get really bad pains with it. Every time i see the doctors and consultant about it they just keep giving my pain killers till I get my OP. Just wondering has anyone come a cross or no different ways to easy the pains. Apart from pain killers and hot water bottles

From my experience - accupuncture and diet change have helped.

Diet change has been the most difficult for me as I have a MASSIVE sweet tooth.

I found that by cutting out gluten, red meat, milk and deep fried foods has helped alot. I have taken the dietary change required to be experimental and creative with my food ensuring that they are always gluten free and not deep fried which has helped a lot.

I came across the below information about sugar and fat and the correlation to inflammation and with increased inflammation It means more pain - so I would suggest cutting down on sugary and fatty foods as much as you can and think of it as lifestyle change rather than a "diet" as it is continuous and different way of thinking about food. Rather than thinking about food with the tongue and all about taste, I changed my approach to look at it in terms of the nutrients and vitamins within everything that I am eating to have a more nutrient balanced diet.

"Consuming excess added sugar and refined carbohydrates causes several changes in the body, which help explain why a diet high in sugar can lead to chronic, low-grade inflammation. ... Excess body fat has been linked to inflammation, partly due to insulin resistance"
