Bleeding since December 1st

Hi all, sorry for nature of this post but since my symptoms started about a year ago I've had a lot of irregular bleeding. As the title of the post says I've been bleeding since the first day of this month and its now the 17th and shows no signs of stopping. It's not very heavy but not super light either, although there is more when I move around more and when I go to the toilet, so I think any movement affects it too. Another thing I'm confused about is the colour, it's always brown, never fresh looking and I can't understand this as I thought that was supposed to signify old blood but if it keeps coming for weeks on end how can it be old? It's not at all like what I used to have when my periods worked fine.

Another thing is I'm taking the pill back to back, the last break I had was over one month ago and this bleeding began after another pack and a half ran together. I've continued taking the pill throughout the bleeding as recommended my my doctor but it's not stopping. I'm really at my edge now and so distressed with it all. I also get pelvic pains, some sharp or cramp like and most severely lower back pain. The pains are every day.

I have an appointment next month with a gynae (I saw him last in June and he basically told me to go away and wait and see if it gets worse) so I'll have to tell him this then but can anyone suggest why I'm bleeding in this way? It just seems bizarre and so uncomfortable and my Dr even said bleeding for weeks isn't a typical sign of endo.
