Hormones, which one is better?

Hello,

I have been against hormones for ten years since I tried the ring and had a horrible experience.

I had laparoscopy last year in Sept and have already another cyst on the same side (and growing). Therefore, even if I tried other natural alternatives, I think it's time to take some hormones as I don't want surgery again.

I wanted to use Jaydess, as I have read that it's small, fewer hormones and almost no side effects, but my gynecologist said that he was not inserting anything because it's very painful and gave me pills: Drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol.

I know that each person is different but, has anybody tried any of those? Can I have some feedback/opinion?

Thanks!

In all honesty with hormones it’s the same as contraception. It’s about trail and error until you find which one works the best for you that has the desired effects. I haven’t specifically tried those types of hormones but for myself the ones I have been given did not agree with me and I was placed in temporary menopause until I could have surgery but I understand my situation is different to yours.

My advice would be to ensure that you tell your gynaecologist if something isn’t working for you and look at alternative hormones.

Sorry I can’t be more help.
