At the end of my tether and feeling so down.

Hey all,

After experiencing hellish periods for years, I was finally diagnosed with having an endometrial polyp and endometriosis. I was advised that I should have a laparoscopy and have the photo removed. I am on a waiting list and the waiting time is 26 weeks.

In the interim, my GP has put me on the mini-pill and my periods are getting worse. I’ve been on it for 3 months and had to go back last week because my period was on day 14. They are so heavy, I don’t want to leave my house. No matter how many tampons and towels I take with me, it’s never enough.

The GP changed my mini-pill last Monday and my period stopped, but it started again today. I am so down and have been in tears most of the day. I have no energy or motivation to do anything. I’m cutting myself off and just don’t know what to do anymore.

Sorry, I don’t even think I am expecting advice, I just needed to get this out of my system today.

Hi. Sorry that is rough. Have you had any suggestion to take tranexamic acid? I took that as I suffered from flooding periods and it helped to reduce the bleeding. It didn’t change much on the pain but the reduced bleeding made life a bit more manageable. Good luck.
