I've had mine, first ever; voucher from work. All fine, expected symptoms of achey arm, sore injection site, and feeling a little under the weather with the usual side effect symptoms listed. I know it's a Monday morning so we're all a bit tired but does anyone else about 2 days after their vaccination feel completely wiped out / exhausted? It's also about 5 days before my period so I always a little "off" around this time.
I'm still feeling horrible; should I give it a few more days before going to the GP? I can get on the day appointments but have to call first thing. I've started a new job so not really wanting to self certify. I'll only get statutory pay for self certified and certified sick, as I'm still in my probationary period.
I'm in work and just about managing.

It varies from year to year but this years vaccine which I had a few days before my period made me feel extremely unwell. Tired, shivery, very nauseated and had a loose stomach to. Its only supposed to effect you for 2-3 days after but mine merged into my period issues so I couldn't tell what was what. I just had some very early nights (like 8:30pm) because I just needed to lay down and sleep. I don't know how helpful that is but I hope the worst of the side effects wear off for you soon!
At the moment I still have the achey bruised arm, which feels kind of dead, it hurts to lie on still. I've been feeling like I have a cold coming on - but it doesn't want to start - I'm okay with that as it's my immune system so makes sense. It's just the feeling so tired. I have the cramps and sore shoulder starting which lets me know my period is on its way.
I hope it won't be as bad as yours though as that would scare me
I have to get mine every year as I work in a hospital. The aching arm and feeling like you are fighting a cold should go in a few days. You can take paracetamol to help. I think it's just bad timing for our bodies. Next year I'll try for a better time of the month!
I've been getting flu jab for about 4 years now and to be honest, this one was the best one yet in terms of pain! I had the soreness in the muscle for about 24 hours only this time, but usually it lasts 2-3 days.
It's a dead virus so it shouldn't "give you the flu" as such, or flu symptoms.
However, I do know people who said that this year's made them feel unwell - scratchy throat, stuffy nose, tiredness, etc..
I'm sure you'll feel better soon. If not, it's probably unrelated to the vaccine (apart from the arm soreness!)
I know it can make you feel under the weather like you have a cold but don't because there's nothing to give you any symptoms, so it's just our immune system reacting, which I guess is good.
Endo already gives us a weakened immune system so I guess our reaction to it could be a bit more on the "ill" side. It's just I completely forgot when I booked it that it'd be a week before my period - I actually thought it should be fine.
