Following on from my previous post, I now have the MRI report through. I had a negative Laparoscopy in March, these are MRI results. I have mixed emotions. I'm currently on antibiotics for PID too. Any advice/thoughts welcome.
Thanks

I have just had a laparoscopy as my MRI reported adherence of my bowel to my uterus in several places. Evidence of deep fibrotic endometriosis as well as active lesions. Nodules could be felt on my uterosacral ligaments and pouch of douglas duting pelvic exam. Gynae reported that everything looked fairly normal. Some small cysts on pelvic wall and some superficial endometriosis found and removed. He was confused. I have all of my surgical images and will take them to review elsewhere as I'm certain he has just overlooked all of the deep disease and frustrated that I may have to go through the lap again. Have you seen your images?
The laparoscopy showed no sign of endometriosis yet the MRI is basically saying your ovaries and uterus are pulled in different directions from adhesions, which you have around the sigmoid colon, bladder as well??? [This post has been edited in line with Endometriosis UK code of conduct]
Please ask the GP to immediately refer you to an extremely skilled and well-trained excision surgeon who has significant experience with deep-infiltrating endometriosis and will be able to remove it all in one sitting.
25 years of chronic pain, unable to have intercourse, a very eloquent MRI yet no one is suggesting my option. I am so sorry you have received such awful care.
THIS. ❤️ Thank you so so much. I'm literally lying in bed atm with a hot water bottle glued to my left hand side from the pain, unable to move. Unfortunately as I'm in Scotland, UK, I can't ask my GP to refer me to a specific specialist. It'd have to come from my consultant on the NHS Lanarkshire as our nearest centre is Edinburgh, a different health board. I'm going to be asking him when I see him beginning of December. X
