Hi I'm just looking for any other people that have been put on the mini pill for treatment of Endo following a lap.
I've been on it since Feb of this year. I've just started spotting again after three months of nothing. But I can feel the old familiar Endo pains returning.
I was wondering what other people's experiences of this treatment was. I'm terrified it's coming back.
Thanks ☺️

Hi. I have been on the mini pill Desogestrel for just over a year after stopping zoledex injections.
Once the zoledex wore off I began periods again regardless of taking the mini pill. Less than a year I started to get discomfort and asked to go back into zoledex but they said I'd had the maximum amount of 2yrs. So I have been on a waiting list for a hysterectomy since March this year.
I have been told the mini pill alone is not strong enough and that is why I had breakthrough bleeds etc. I am only now in the familiar desperate pain. Looking for the best options to give the longest gaps between reoccurring endo.
I haven't had a lap (so not confirmed Endo) but I was put on Noriday mini pill about 4 months ago. I still have bleeding or spotting over 50% of the time, with mild/moderate pain. Is mini-pill supposed to stop bleeding completely?
It's miles better than when I was on a combined pill (Gedarel) before, which made me bleed pretty much continuously, with worse pain, and other side effects.
My next step is Gynae referral... Been putting it off for a while now
I think the mini pill is different for everyone. I spotted and had regular periods for a few months. Then I was coming on every two weeks for a few months and then they just stopped. I had some Endo pain still after my lap last October. But it did go eventually. Just getting some pangs again a year on.
I find the mini pill to have been better for pain management. The progesterone is seriously messing with my mood and hormone balance though. Super tired, tonnes of acne. Unwanted hair growth. Won't ever go on combined again.
Don't put it off though. Need to push for it to be treated and seen. Hope you get seen soon x
