Still in pain.

Morning all. I had my laparoscopy (5th one) 11 day's ago and are due to go back to work on Thursday. Don't know what what was found or done, as consultant didn't see me after surgery.

My question is although I'm a lot better than a week ago I still feel a lot of pain and discomfort, and am concerned I won't be ready to start back at work on Thursday. Anyone else been in this situation? I feel guilty about asking for another sick note when theoretically I should be better by now.

You should have been given a discharge note before leaving hospital with notes by the operative team. This is as per RCOG Standards 2016. I'd ring the hospital and request it as clearly you need to know what they did as this is relevant to your expected recovery time.
