I had my first laparoscopy 10 months ago to remove “a lot” of endo (my consultants words not mine). Since then my symptoms have become worse again so back I went to see the specialist who recommended the mini pill (I didn’t want a coil). I have been taking now for two weeks and have had period like cramps ever since I started taking. It’s almost as if it’s got worse. As it’s only been two weeks im not sure if I should persevere in hope it gets better on time or if this can happen and I just give up with it. Has anyone else experienced symptoms getting worse after taking the pill or am I going mad?? Thanks

In most cases the pill suppresses the symptoms so they usually get easier in time but it takes a while for it to take effect, a few months at least, I started taking the pill 3 months at a time on my doctor's order and I didn't notice an improvement until after maybe 4 months or so then my pain reduced a lot. It's not definitely suitable for all cases though but to see if it will help it takes time. In any case it's not a cure of course it just usually reduces the pain, amount of bleeding and other symptoms. I hope you find relief soon.
