Divacup making Endo symptoms worse?

Hi ladies, hope you’re all well. For my most recent period I decided to try a divacup/menstrual cup for various reasons but I haven’t had the most pleasant of experiences. I know it takes some getting used to and I’m willing to persevere, but I’ve found that my pain during this period has actually been worse especially in the specific area of uterus/cervix/vagina. It might just be a coincidence that I’m in more pain, but has anyone had the experience of a divacup worsening their endo symptoms too? xx

Hi,

I used a organicup for a few months with no issue and then all of a sudden I just couldn't get it to sit correctly or comfortably and like you - seems to make the pain worse.

I haven't even tried inserting it again as I don't want to be sore from it!

Note: Not diagnosed with Endo yet but specialist thinks I may have Endometriosis and Adenomyosis.

I tried to use a pixie cup for a few months but found the faffing trying to get it in and out too painful. Having to try and twist it to get it to open properly made me faint, so I haven’t used it again!

I tried to use it but I found it painful, just like tampons.

I used to use tampons in my teens and twenties but had to stop as it became too uncomfortable and just use pads now. I have stage 4 endo

Hi! I’ve tried so many menstrual cups! The one that seemed not to aggravate my pain and was the easiest to use was the Lily Cup Compact (by intimina) could be worth a try for you?

Not diagnosed with endo - but currently under investigation for it.

Hey, I also have endo and wanted to try the cup but I knew it would be too painful for me.

Turns out there are also washable pads! I know that sounds gross but I've been using them for about 5-6 months now and they're great, you just rinse them after and pop them in the washing machine. I used to regularly get blood on my knickers, pjs, bedsheets etc before my first surgery, so I figure you're probably used to blood too. They feel bulky but I wear leggings and a T shirt round the house and you cant see the pad, I really recommend it.

I got Lilypads off Amazon, but there's several companies that sell them, hope this helps :)
