EGG COLLECTING

Hi all,

I have grade 4 very severe endometriosis.

I have had multiple surgeries to remove it, including bowel, bladder and JJ stents.

I was on proatap 3 injections for 7 YEARS until this January 2019 and also had mirena coil.

I stopped my prostap injections, removed my coil and my periods came back within a few weeks!! I even have an accurate cycle. Amazing ..as I didn’t even have a cycle before!

I am currently egg collecting and my bowel keeps obstructing my ovary, so they cannot get to the ovary to remove the eggs!

This cycle they can’t even see the left ovary on my monitoring scans as it is completely obstructed by my bowel.

Has anyone experienced this, or got any advice of what I can do to resolve?

Hi. It may be worth posting this in the fertility network. Lots of knowledgeable people there.

I also have endo. I had my egg collection 1st July this year. My right ovary is stuck to my utherer. Both ovaries have/had endometriomas and adhesions.

When I had my egg collection, they couldn't reach my right ovary as it was too high and there was risk of puncturing an organ (can't remember what). So they collected only from my left ovary.

I'm not sure if you have both ovaries? If your left is hidden they can go for the right x

Thanks so much for your reply. It’s really kind of you. My left ovary is totally blocked by the bowel this time but they will collect from the other side. Xx
