I've just been told it's highly unlikely that I'll have children after over three years of trying to conceive and multiple failed IVF cycles. Apparently my eggs are falling apart and they can't even fertilise them with ICSI in the lab. I'm 35 and told this shouldn't happen at my age but no doctor can tell me why it's happened. I've read multiple stories about infertile people having silent endometreosis and it's been niggling at me and wondering if this could be the reason. Has anyone on this community experienced anything similar? I may just be clutching at straws at this stage. I've had scans where nothing shows up. Laparoscopy seems like a very big step to take to know for sure.

hi kayray, so sorry to hear this is happening. I have endo, was diagnosed with stage 4 18 years go (I am now 35) - my amh is healthy for my age but on my first round of ivf I produced 6 eggs, a lot less than expected from 14 follicles. So potentially? I haven’t heard of many Endo sufferers with completely diminished eggs - although I know the toxins from Endo can be harmful to the egg, you should absolutely be able to improve this if you are actually producing eggs?
There is a endo specialist in the south west and he is particularly expert in the diagnosis (including ultrasound) of endometriosis. Not many doctors can diagnose via ultrasound but he is one of the top dogs! If you want I can inbox you the details.

My AMH is a little lower then it should be but I have a good antral follicle count and have got 8 eggs from first two rounds and 12 eggs from third round. Problem is extremely bad quality. Similar to you I had 17 follicles on first round but only got 8 eggs. That is interesting about endo affecting the quality. Yes, please could you send on their details? Willing to try anything at this stage!

sorry to hear 😞 can only imagine how devastating it is going through a full cycle of drugs and then receving that news - I felt the same when we had the call to say only one of my eggs fertilised normally. It’s a bloody cruel journey. I’ll inbox you the details of the consultant - it’s worth a shot, I know laparoscopy’s are expensive and the wait list is long for nhs so might be worth having a consultation. Good luck xx

Sorry to jump on your thread but I came across your posts and in a similar position - suspected endo, started ivf low egg count in first collection. I’ve also previously suffered two natural miscarriages which kicked off this whole sorry journey. Would you be able to share the details for the endo specialist with me please? I am having a pelvic ultrasound on the nhs this week but believe I need more thorough investigations. Thanks so much sending hugs xx

Scan can't find endo.However you can go for a MRI for diagnosis,mine was diagnosed in MRI.Also,just a diagnostic laproscopy is not a big deal,u can also consider it.
