I have been having migraine with aura on and off for a year and only recently went to the doctor about it. He alarmingly told me that this was an early warning sign of stroke and I have been told to stop taking Tibolone. My next Prostap injection is due next week. My mood is very low because of not taking HRT any more. I don't look forward to getting my cycle back but I am looking forward to not feeling so depressed (Prostap induced). Just wondering how long it takes for Prostap to wear off.
God knows what plan B is. I don't want surgery as this will involve bowel resection as my bowel and uterus are adhered to one another and the endo has pretty much destroyed them.

Very interesting to hear about Tibolone I have been on it 6 weeks due having total hysterectomy and the doctor said was the only HRT I could have due Endometriosis. Cant have any other HRT for a year because of estrogen can bring endo. I have been getting very bad headache. One day I had a headache and could not even see it was that bad and lasted 3 days . I was also on prostap prior to my OP for 18 months that also gave me headaches and joint pain I hated prostap injections. I am going back to doctor about Tibolone now you have shared this thank you for sharing. Hope you find something to help you
Thanks for your response. You sound to have really been through it. Definitely a good plan to tell your doctor about the headaches - they sound horrific. Apart from my migraines, I used to refer to Tibolone as my 'happy pill' as it definitely helped with my Prostap depression. I see my consultant 23rd Sept and I am hoping he has a plan B. This might be hysterectomy and bowel resection, but I really wanted to avoid that and stay on Prostap/Tibolone until natural menopause.
I have no idea about tibolone, but I took porstap for 6 months and it drove me so crazy ,migranes, depression, sleeping disorder ,night sweats etc.It maximum limit is 6 month ,it is too risky if u go over ,it has long lasting side effects like bone weaknesses, blurred eyes etc...hope u find some better solution.
