Endo and weight loss

I know typically endo causes weight gain, but has anyone experienced unexplained weight loss? I used to be around 113 lbs and over the course of the year I am now down to 97lbs.. My doctor thinks I have endo but I haven’t had the laparoscopy yet.. I’m just worried it’s something worse.

I have been losing weight too, i'm waiting on my laparoscopy appointment not formally diagnosed but it's what doctors think i have. I feel sick a lot and it ruins my appetite because of the pain. So this is why the doctor told me i was losing weight. Does this sound familiar?

Hi! I am low weight too. I read in an article that there was a correlation between Endo and low BMI. At the same time, it is important to take a look at your diet, how is your appetite, are you eating less or changed your diet? How is your hemoglobin? Do you loose a lot of blood every month?

I would say a big part of the reason I lost weight was because I had lost my appetite.

I am currently trying to get my weight back, I'm finding it very difficult.

I have also lost weight, from about 8 and a half stone down to 7 and a half stone over a 6 month period. I am under medical investigation for endometriosis at the moment, so not confirmed, but this has coincided with the symptoms that I experience.

Thank you ladies! I used to have a massive appetite but anxiety & probably the pain has for sure lessened it, however, I do make sure I am still eating. It’s alarming to lose weight without trying!
