I've not had the injections but my GP did offer, I declined and looked at alternatives. Are yours steroid injections for the pain? I didn't like the idea because it'll just numb the pain with the original problem still there.
I've found your first post and put a reply on there.
Definitely suggest physio - I know you're doing that already but perhaps find a movement and mobility specialist they'll help with the weak core (result of being a woman! and strengthen your lower back (which compensates the weak core). I'd definitely recommend it. You could see if you can do both the injections and physio if physio is okay with it.
The injections are lidocaine/steroid, I think it is more of an investigatory procedure but can work to reduce pain, which after everything I've tried so far I am all for if I'm being honest. (I'm currently off work and have been for 5 weeks now).
As well as a pelvic physiotherapist I have had a physio working on my back/leg pain issues, I also have a personal trainer but recently have been in so much pain I haven't been able to do anything apart from some very light work.
Fingers crossed the injections do something good for me though
Hi yes I have but its due to osteoarthritis.. wonder if back pain is now due to endo! I went under gen anaesthetic for mine (was private).. it was ok.. felt a bit like a motorbike had gone over my lower back for a couple days but i was able to get around etc
I've had severe pain in my right hip, right lower back and right leg. I had a nerve block injection done, (I'm not sure if this is the same injection you've been offered) the first nerve block was fantastic and delivered a lot of relief
