IUD and acne

I’m due to have my laparoscopy shortly and after speaking with the doctor he recommends having the Mirena coil fitted

I also have PCOS and have struggled with acne for years. I finally have my skin in a good place but a friend mentioned how bad her skin went with the coil 😭. Has anyone experienced having the coil and had any issues with acne? Does it work in treating Endo?

I can't help from personal experience about the endo / PCOS / Mirena coil combination but I did have a thought. If your friend previously had no acne problem and also, unlike you, no PCOS, I wonder if the effect on you might be different . . . The effect could be similar to what you're currently dealing with and now have under control, so might be no change at all. Or it could even make your acne better than what you're currently dealing with if it regulates your PCOS?
